Established Fall of 2012 with the following mission:

To provide mentorship and community facilities for people of all ages to learn about printmaking and papermaking techniques in the form of workshops, use of the facilities, various events, and outreach programs. cometogetherspace is a resource for anyone pursuing creative endeavors.

It is essential that folks are able to learn new and active practices throughout their lives. By doing so, we often find a renewed energy and value in creativity. We are surrounded by prints and paper, yet the majority of the public knows very little about the processes of creating them. We more clearly understand and appreciate the world around us by learning about these trades.

One of my main goals as an instructor is to provide opportunities for people of all ages to expand their creative horizons, forming new understandings and new questions. This starts by contributing to and building a community of people within a positive learning environment outside of academic institutions. Opening the workshop in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois allows me to pull from great resources such as Illinois State University, Normal Editions Workshop, Illinois Wesleyan University, Mannekin Press, and the talents of local artists to build the foundation for emerging and established printmakers and papermakers. My knowledge in printmaking evolved from my education at the University of Wyoming and Illinois State University, assisting Master Printers like Richard Finch in his personal studio, Veda Rives at Normal Editions Workshop, Jonathan Higgins at Mannekin Press, and Cole Rogers at High Point Center for Printmaking in Minneapolis, along with years of finding solutions to various printing matters. I thrive off of the excitement and energy of teaching the media, the joy that comes with the reveal, and the discussion of the many outcomes.
